2024 Nature Journalist Calendar
Based on a popular tool by longstanding Montour Preserve Naturalist Jon Beam, this calendar offers a wide variety of dates that people can expect local flora and fauna to be hitting milestones ... such as when certain wildflowers should be blooming, when various animal species may be having their babies or starting their migration. The goal is to give people dates to enhance their ability to get outdoors and enjoy nature at its richest.
The calendar also includes a variety of local photos and information, links and QR codes to programming at the Montour Preserve through the Vernal School Environmental Education Partnership and a way for people to share their own observations, nature sketches, photos and more directly with us so that we can share them with others online to inspire more people to get outdoors and hopefully more stewards to protect our resources.
The calendar is sponsored by Lee A Viard & Associates Accounting out of Williamsport, and all proceeds from the sales of this calendar go back to environmental education through the Vernal School and upgrades at the Montour Preserve.
