Did you know that:
  • A $5 donation can help us cover postage costs to send letters/packets to regional lawmakers about important water quality concerns and developing realistic solutions.
  • A $25 donation allows us to purchase new books that can be used for environmental education work in community venues like libraries and schools.
  • A $50 donation sponsors a family of six to attend one of our hour-long Floating Classroom programs aboard the Hiawatha Paddleboat.
  • A $100 donation covers the full lunch cost for one of our HERYN kayaking and fishing program days for all participants and volunteer instructors.
  • A $300 donation covers the cost of one general residential well water test.
  • A $500 donation sponsors a water quality testing unit along the Susquehanna River or one of its tributaries.
  • A $750 donation covers the cost of creating, installing and putting online another BirdNet unit that helps us monitor bird species and develop indicators that help us better monitor water quality.
  • A $1,000 donation can help add a kayak to our fleet for additional water monitoring, trash pickup efforts and various educational programs.
  • A $2,000 donation covers the cost of new equipment (like a wastewater/drinking water Enviroscape model) for our EELS program.
  • A $5,000 donation can sponsor a river-related community event like our Clean Water Celebration from October of 2022.
