2025 calendar offers key dates to connect with nature, tips for journaling and citizen science12/2/2024 The Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association and Vernal School Environmental Education Partnership are releasing the 2025 Naturalist Calendar. It includes numerous dates related to wildlife, plants and other species that will enhance your ability to connect with nature. Sunrise/sunset times, moon phases, meteor showers, historical facts, special species awareness days and much more. This year's calendar also includes a page dedicated to citizen science information, how you can observe and collect data that can help improve awareness and educate others. There is also a page devoted to nature journaling with tips on how to get the most from your time outdoors. The calendar is illustrated this year with pencil sketches by former Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association intern and board secretary Morgan Thomas, who shares some of her own tips and suggestions within the nature journaling page. Cost is $15 per calendar for those purchased in person or $20 for those that need to be shipped via the US mail (to help cover postage). 2025 Middle Susquehanna Naturalist Calendar

This includes expected sunrise and sunsets, moon phases, certain meteor showers, when various species are expected to be more active, wildflowers blooming, etc. Included are ways for you to make and submit reports about your observations that can be used for citizen science, tips for nature journaling and information about the Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association and Vernal School Environmental Education Partnership. Cost is $15 if you purchase in person or $20 to have it sent to your mailing address.
